These images are from the Korean War Memorial, a massive museum and park across the street from the Itaewon U.S. Army base in Seoul. In amongst the tanks, aircraft, and assorted military vehicles, I found these loudspeaker weapons, used for "Psychological Operations" against the North until 2004. The inscription rates them at six tons, with a broadcasting range of ten kilometres.

Inverted Ambisonics

Here are some images from a Google Sketchup design for an experimental speaker array I'm working on. The idea is to take 3D surround sound recordings using Ambisonics technology and invert the playback system so that it is being diffused from a point source instead of an array that surrounds the listener.

Okay well, after an admittedly sketchy history of blogging, I’m going to take another shot at it. This site has been pretty much defunct for the past year. I tried to get another one going with Drupal, but it was too time consuming, so I’m back with the WP. Here goes.
